Yes, it's only humiliating if you are not a Tory.

A upturn is a upturn whether Tory or Labour.

They all do it and it I shall always humiliating from the oppositions point of view.

Personally I think the breakfast idea was a good one. Children learn better when they are fed and the most vulnerable would still have been entitled to a free school meal as well.

But hay, lets not get anything in the way of propaganda
good evening, Quizmonster, haven't seen you for a while. Yes, the Tory manifesto seems to have been dropped as quickly as it was drawn up. Good news for foxes!
The Tories have lost the argument on this issue, so despite winning the Election, they have had to drop this dreadful plan.

Just shows what the labour Party can do, even when it loses an Election !
Notice the sneaky way it was slipped out after the summer recess ?
That says it all!
A good day not to bury good news perhaps Eddie !
"Children learn better when they are fed..."

Indeed they do, cassa. That's why it's parents' job to feed them before they leave home in the morning. It doesn't take much effort and need not cost a lot of money. The State has no business taking on the task of giving children breakfast and I don't know what the current bunch of so-called Tories were doing to entertain the idea. Oh I know - it might have garnered them a few votes (failed).
Imagine the plight of those children turfed out on a bitter wintry morning with nothing past their lips as 'the school will feed them'.

Hello, Jno. I’m still around on a daily basis, but the system does often make it seem as if other ABers have disappeared. Is any of the Tory manifesto still extant or will the next group of “The Disappointed” be the Grammarschoolists? What, one wonders, are the feelings of the DUP on fox-hunting? We live in interesting times!
Quizy.....I would imagine that as long as the foxes were Catholic foxes, the DUP wouldn't be unduly worried !

But you are correct of course....the Tory Party manifesto of only a few weeks ago is in complete tatters, as is Mrs May's reputation......she will be gone soon.

Insh'allah, Mikey!
Having spent quite a few years in Arabic/Islamic lands and despite being an atheist, I still often use their word for "God willing!"
I don't think the DUP approve of fox hunting.
