We have been told that a year's supply of Vagifem contains the same HRT as one tablet of HRT. Is this correct? Reading the side effects of Vagifem has put my sister off using them!!

Vagifam contains Oestradiol.
HRT may contain progesterone, oestradiol or both.

Sorry Sqad I dont know, she was just told there is a very low dose of hrt in Vagicem, so does this mean side effects are minimal? I presume the company have to state possible side effects to cover themselves...
smurfy side effects if any, would be minimised by inserting the drug inside the vagina, as is the case with Vagifem. Side effects would be minimal in frequency and severity.
Tell your sister not to worry.
