Noticed in Tesco today all the new school uniform out already
It'll not be long before Halloween costumes are on display.
Talk about desperate!
More than one child perhaps and a long list for each, it makes sense to spread the cost.

Leaving shoes till the last minute.
Seriously, if you leave it too late you can't get school socks & tights (although I leave the logo'd stuff as late as I can because it's so expensive).
I once ran out of an ASDA store when I saw 'Back to School' signs up. I almost collided with a colleague. Give us a break, please! It was at least 2 weeks before I was fit to go on holiday in the Summer - and I started having the stress dreams and working 2 weeks before return.
The colleague I mentioned spent 2 years having repeated breakdowns, but they would not let him retire. I left early (on medical advice) to save my sanity and health, but lost massively on my pension, which is now pathetic.
I was 'lucky'. They let me goon medical grounds so I got my pension immediately@ the age of 47.
Our shools are halfway through their holidays.
I presume you are in Scotland where the academic year is different.
Why are Scotland's school holidays so different to England?
England was based around the Wheat harvest, Scotland around Raspberry picking ...
I didn't know that!
Can't get most of the stuff 6 weeks in advance, my kids usually grow a couple of inches in the holidays. Ha ha
