Hi to n00dles, WendyS, mcfluff - and everyone else I missed thanking before - thanks again for the nice thoughts and comments. Glad to have helped in the past.

And the question is - will everyone be coming to the Seafood festival at Tarbert Loch Fyne on Saturday?

Tarbert carnival day with floats and drinking and stalls and drinking and all sorts of fun and drinking. You can get your real hand made crisps of course - and a copy of the 'Scottish Farmers' Market Cookbook' signed by the author on request - - oh, and some bloke called Nick Nairn will be there too flogging his latest book and doing some sort of cooky demo or something with fish - must tell him about that Rick guy in Cornwall. All starts at 12. Info here

Sunday has 'Beer on the Pier' with live music and general rabble rousing - and drinking. Come along if you can . .!

Hi Lia* - I'd better have my glad rags on then! - gosh - meeting of an ABer - I'm all shaky and nervous now. How will I recognise you? Do we all have massive hair - or is it just me? ooooooooooooooooooooooooohh, now I'm all giggly . .See you there . !
You are so funny. Well I am pleading with my cousins to go and they said they will go if nothing important turns up. So I am keeping my fingers cross. Now, I couldn't miss the smartest, most charming guy that will be there, could I?
Question Author
Well lia*, you have to pay to get to see Mr Nairn, - but if you want a freebie, I'm there too.

Only be some football or something on tv, and as the fish suppers are 'to die for' - especially with a wee carry out on the harbour wall to wash it down with . . . .and if the weather holds, well say no more. No excuses.

Presume you know Tarbert? . . great location, lovely views, etc etc. Its going to be my summer holiday day thingy so making the most of it - closest thing I'll have to a break anyway, so have to have fun or else. I won't be in the demo event as I'll be 'crisping' all the time, but if you can, the chat is good and it's a nice casual affair.

Hope to see you then.
i'll be there too nickmo, look forward to seeing you there xx

On no - getting worried now . . . better be on the best behaviour for sure . . !

Gathering at the Tarbert Hotel after 5, then for an Ovaltine or 2.

Could this be a meeting of the secret society of the ABers who only exist in cyberspace and have no physical bodies?

Hi there to our lovely Nickmo, i will be there in spirit :-) gosh i wish you would do a south type lovely thing....
we do have a Loch Fyne restaurant i believe.... is that any good? we're massive fans of Rick Stein and thats definately on the 'must take a break' list.....
please may i have your e-mail address???....

B. xxxx
I wish!
Don't forget to tell Nick Nairn your favourite episode is the one where he is as green as anything (and looks like he was ill off set) as the old dear carried on despite him. They don't make TV like that any more, tee hee.

Hi B - best bet is to go to the magazine site and get contact through there - http://www.freerangemag.co.uk

I'm sorry I can't promise an instant answer every time, but it is a point of contact.

All the best.
Howdy nickmo,

If only............

Would love to say Hi at your little fest, but a tad too far and commitments to boot......

As b said, How about a Southern Seafood Soire?

Gonna be mighty envious of the ABers that can go.

Looks like I'll have to stick with my Waitrose mixed seafood from the deli : baby octopus, squid, mussels, etc. very nice.....Not quite the same tho! Any chance you can post us some pics of the event?? (but not too much emphasis on the shellfish, otherwise I'll just *sob* *sob*! lol :o)

Looks like it's gonna be a hoot!

Have a great day - hope the weather is kind!!

H n00dles - sorry you can't get the time to come out and play - better get the diary organised for 2007, hen.

Doubt I'll be taking pics to be honest (Grovels pathetic apologies) - I'm actually at the event to flog my (stunning hand made) crisps, plus the cookbook , and the magazine, and also nag people about the farmers' markets - AGM for the Scottish f/m board on Monday and I need to heckle a few bodies about it, so won't have the chance to wander around - the lady at the B&B has already brought up that she wants a few bags when I'm cooking as she remembers the crisps from last year . . !

Fingers crossed for good weather!

Incidentally, there are plans for an event in the offing - lots to happen first, but you never know . . .

Have a good weekend though yourself.
