Why are cats so great at making you feel like the most evil person in the world?!

I gave my cat, Sam, his flea & worming treatment last night - its the Advocate drops that go on the back of his neck and since then he's been sitting in the corner of which ever room I've been in glaring at me like I'm the devil incarnate. If I go too near him he shouts at me then runs away. Its not like I did anything to hurt him, its just a couple of drops of liquid on the back of his neck!!

He's making me feel like the most horrible person in the world. How long do you reckon he's going to keep this up, not sure I can take much more of the guilt trip!!

i gave mine her frontline treatment last night and she sulked for about an hour until i had dinner then she wanted to be my friend again! Iusualy find if murphy's having a hissy fit if i just ignore her she calms down and soon comes to find out what i'm upto

Ignoring him isn't working - he just keeps walking past me and giving me a short sharp shout then glaring at me again before stalking off! He's usually such a big softie who loves his cuddles. Talk about laying on a guilt trip! He's a master at it!
God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i had a WEEK of it!
Sugar not only sat in the corner of the window-sill hissing at me and growling.....She also foamed at the mouth!
She refused her food......she lashed out at anything that passed her!
I was terrified that perhaps she was allergic to Frontline.....but i had the same reaction from her when we brought Dragon as a playmate for her! She was less then impressed to put it mildly.
She loves her little temper tantrums! Its quite cute really! Like pet - like owner!!!
she comes round eventually if we ignore it! It doesn't half make you feel evil though!

I think he's starting to plot revenge - there's a definite glint in his eyes! God I feel like Cruella De Ville!
The guilt trip cont.: your sulking cat comes up to sit next to you as usual and curls up - very deliberately facing away. Of course, you want to stroke them by way making up, and this is what they want - so they can curl up even tighter and make a show of not wanting to be touched. Emotional blackmail.
sounds like your in for some fun then, i think you'll just have to wait it out...... he'll come round eventually

He's just had his revenge the little monster, he's just pooed in the bath!!! He never does that.

Talk about calculating! He's sitting in the middle of the living room floor looking very smug.

Remind me why I love him so much?!
mine pooed on the kitchen floor last night, evil cow bag but i love her
Well, if we wanted easy lives, we could have got tamagotchis!
oh dear - cats are funny and very hoity toity aren't they?!

our kitten max was none too impressed after we had his bits off, and despite being full of energy made a point of not sleeping on the bed and not greeting us at the door etc - he sat steadfastly on his chair and just watched us with that 'evil eye' for about a week!

Wiccan Kitten - I wouldn't worry about the foaming at the mouth those drops are designed to make that happen so the cats don't lick them off after trying it once!

hope he's back soon - max is easily tempted back to being friends now by his favourite toy as he's realised he's better off being friends with us.

feeding him from your hand helps establish a bit of contact too - good luck!
lol be thankful he only pooed in the bath, when my daughter upsets my cat she pees in my daughters bedroom, on her clothes, bedding etc. had to throw a pillow away the other day that was on her futon. i was getting it ready to have a friend sleep on it, and the pillow stunk so bad i could smell it all night, i hadnt realise she had wee'ed on it so was left there and she repeatedly did it. when you upset a cat they normally pay you back by toileting somewhere they shouldnt.
