I ordered some new clothes from a catalogue who were offering 'free gifts' if you spent a certain amount of money. So, my parcel has just arrived, and my free gift is ........(please don't laugh)a pack of maxi absorb discreet shaped pads with odour control and maximum absorbency! How is that classed as a gift?Anyway, it's not that I'm ungrateful but what on earth do I do with them? Wearing them isn't an option.

I've just remembered a similar tale. A while ago I received a 'free gift' of tampons from a large, well known mail order company. Unfortunately I had to return them as there were strings attached.

A Staffordshire Knot would be impressive , Melv.
♪ can you tie it in a knot, can you tie it in a bow?
can you throw it over your shoulder like a regimental soldier? ♪
Is a Welsh knot a sheep bend, Tilly ?:-)
I know knot, Melv. Stop asking me daft questions.
It may be that what was included was done so in error! Why not contact Customer Services to see if they can offer an alternative gift.

At least it might wake up the marketing/fulfillment dept?
