Did anybody watch last weeks episode? They did a healthy version of fried chicken which involves crushed cornflakes as part of the coating. I've looked everywhere online and just cannot find the recipe?

Amazing what you can use cupboard stand bys for, you can make a nice Greek Pastry with Shredded Wheat (other brands are available).
My daughter cooked this on Saturday night to mixed reactions - my grandson said he had spoken to friends that "this tastes weird, as if it has got cornflakes on it", when told it did, he called his friends who had said "don't be ridiculous!"

Well I found the episode on BBC Iplayer and made it tonight! Absolutely delicious! Mr Smow wolfed it down and you'd never know there was cornflakes in it at all.
Smow what was the recipe in the end then?
Question Author
Islay - skin off chicken pieces( I did selection of drumsticks, thighs etc) and put to soak in dish of milk, lemon juice, salt n Pepper. Meanwhile crush cornflakes and add paprika, thyme, and onion flakes and mix well. I didn't have dried thyme so used mixed herbs. Take chicken out of milk and put into the cornflakes mixture and coat well. Bake for 30 mins or until golden.
Thanks smow

Haven't used cornflakes, but use crushed crisps as a topping for my tuna pasta bake.
