I gave my oh a recon. Laptop for his birthday and want to connect to my router- but I keep being asked for the 'security key' to be entered. I've tried the password and router log-in but neither are accepted. So what is the 'security key?

There will be a label on your router with the key on it.
Might also be known as WPS PIN?
It's the WiFi password.

Thanks all - have tried the wi-fi password and that's not working, have now got - windows cannot now connect to brightbox ****** because the wireless network adapter has been removed. Reinsert the network adapter and try connecting again. I have had this router for years and so not know of an adapter I have removed - does anyone know what they are referring to?
Are you sure the new laptop has a network adapter. If so, is it enabled?
