Immigrants In Calais

We have a weekend in Calais booked soon but I'm wondering if the immigrants are still being a problem there? Would rather cancel than get caught up in conflict. Has anyone spent time there recently?

if your at all worried avoid Calais I would recommend Dieppe get the ferry from Newhaven it's a longer crossing but a nice ferry and it's about the same price--or was in september
