These are amateurs? As one who cooks under sufferance, I am in awe! I picked Alison from the very beginning.
That Greg Wallace bloke seems quite good
I was a tad surprised at John Torodes reaction to Alison's final dish. I thought it looked quite plain yet he had tears in his eyes!
I thought the same. The taste must have been divine.
... or he got a bit stuck in his throat. ;o)
Lol was still a tad OTT. I remember him doing that years ago with a young girl who'd cooked a pudding.
In the spirit of political correctness a woman must win and a woman from and ethnic background. Them is the rules of all BBC competitions.

Good? All they do is boil in a bag, and/or fry in a pan (thank god they don't do it in a sink!), meat and/or fish which no viewer dead or alive could afford to purchase in a month of Sundays, then, arrange in a manner they think is 'arty' (like we care?) and plonk weird vegetables down in foams and crumbs and soils and drizzle jus (gravy) over the lot on a plate in portions that would keep a gnat content but not a real person!!! And yes of course squirty oils from a plastic bottle then throw some petals on top. If it looks really awful on the plate announce it is deconstructed!!

The programme is dead in the water - with smoked hay and sauterne mist nestling on a bed on samphire and chestnut puree reduction.

Me? I am off yo the chippie. Chips are on and they have plaice!!
Not a fan then?
All of them are so good I think it will depend on the last cook-off.I will be pleased with whoever wins.Best Masterchef so far IMO.
dance2 - I think people probably enter M'chef with an eye on using what they learn during their time there to go into cheffing at some level as a career. If that includes "fine dining" for instance, then those skills & the ability to come up with "weird/fancy" new ideas will be required.

To the OP, I too have thought from the start that Alison will come up trumps, but any of them would be a deserving winner.
I though Allison was marginally ahead of Steve, but I have to agree that her dish looked the weakest tonight. Steve for the trophy then for me.
When Lorna was eliminated I lost the will to live.
I hoped Lorna wd win but as I said they aint the rules. Ethnics only win on the beeb to encourage them in life. As has been mentioned elsewhere where was her range and style? Bitterly disappointed.
^^^^^
Really - how many of these are ethnics then ?
