I rarely do. I once left my phone in the office for a week without realising...

Tonight my OH said I didn't speak to important people enough...so I phoned my son, then my daughter, other son....and then my mum.

I feel quite emotional....I didn't realise a phonecall meant so much to people.

Then I made OH phone his mum :-)

What dog? :-)
I had the wife ringed in case she's caught in high winds and blown off course on the way home.
Every night that I'm away from my woman, to ask how she is, how her day went, and to say, "Night night", etc.. I admit it is supplemented with texts and e-mails during the day.
PS I'd bet your mum and daughter appreciated it most. My guess is they are the two that likes a natter.
I keep in touch a lot through Skype with all the family and a friend too - get plenty calls as well.

Great to discuss how the day has gone what tomorrow's plans are, what the children did etc.

Never fail to get a lovely Goodnight call too, lovely way to end the day.
Can any of you remember what it was like before mobile phones were invented ? I have visions of the future when babies will be born with one hand welded to an ear.
I never phone people up just for a chat. I see my dad once a week, and send emails and texts in between visits. I wait for my son to phone me as he's busy with work and life, and text or message in between.
Ron that is already passe......its all text and snapchat now

Sorry. Completely baffled. Why on earth do you (or they) need to know?

NJ - I had a reason to phone my son.

OG - My son was def the happiest just knowing I was thinking about him. My mum was happy I phoned for no reason. My daughter couldn't care less but she lives with me so we speak everyday anyway.
Why do I need to know how my children and grandchildren are ?

If you have to ask that you wouldn't understand the answer.
