If you like the series I suggest you read the book it is based on.
'My Family and Other Animals' By Gerald Durrell.
As with all series based on a book the series can only show a small fraction of the story in the book.

I have read all the Corfu books and loved them all. But it should be realised that they were a very sanitised account, with lots of half truths. If you want to know what really happened, then this book is recommended :::::

There seems to be lots of Durrells books? the trilogy, is that three of the books? a bit confused lol

I read 'My Family and Other Animals' as a set book at school, but it was very funny so I read it several times.
mikey, some of Durrell's other work was considered pornographic at the time!

I didn't know he wrote so many books. I loved My Family and Other Animals, but haven't watched the TV series. Perhaps I should catch up?
