I use a lot of support sites & sometimes I need to search while on there. How can I stay on the site & search at the same time? If you know what I mean. Sorry if I`m not explaining things very well, but I`m quite a novice. Lol
open another internet explorer.

i did say I was a novice lol. How ?
just click the x in the upper right between the minimize and close buttons, (with the internet open) then drag the open window to one side and then click the internet icon on your desktop to open another internet window and put it on the other side of the screen. now you can view one page and do all your searchig on the other.
sorry i meant the box in the upper right not the x

Thanks peanut. I tried that, but the size of the support board goes very small. I put the internet explorer & the site sort of half each (if you know what i mean). It will take me ages this way to see who`s on & read posts.

Ps. I did scroll across, but takes ages to read each item. Am I thick?? lol
you know you can make those windows bigger by putting your pointer on the edge of the window and drag by holding the left click.
Question Author
Yes. I knew that & did it. I suppose I`ll get used to doing it that way Thanks peanut for your help.
one final thought. you could view them both full screen and switch between them by the toolbar at the bottom.

Now peanut, stop baffing me lol
You could try the new version of Internet Explorer - it allows you to have one instance of IE but several "tabs" within it. Much neater than having a taskbar full of Internet Explorers!
google used to be all the rage 4 yrs ago, but there far from being the best, there are several good toolbars out there, some of which are yahoo with antispy, keywordsurf .com allows you to search yahoo, msn, google all from your browsers without the toolbar use. depend on what your using your toolbar for there are loads of toolbars out their for different ppl. try looking on download.com and read what others think of the toolbars before adding a new one.

or build your own which then makes it unique to you. follow thhttp://www.besttoolbars.net/toolbar_studio_dyn amic_ie_toolbar_builder.phpis lnk to take you to the I.E. toolbar builder.
Download Firefox, which is free, and use that instead of Internet Explorer - it offers the "tabbed" browsing that IE7 has finally got around to doing, which means that you can have the equivalent of multiple windows open in just one window.

There are many free "extensions" to FF's capabilities. Download and use "Search Engine Ordering". FF has a built-in search bar which comes with a number of engines set up. SEO allows you to order these and to add pretty much any other search engine or site search to the selection. You can open a new tab and then search wherever you want, and then click on your original tab. If you're just Googling, the FF Google toolbar search results will open in a new tab anyway, and you can also highlight words and right-click and search.

This is kinda hard to visualise, but take a look at the Firefox site - it'll give you a much better idea.
