I just don,t understand why anyone would want to buy something that still looks so worn and shabby at the prices they charge when it still looks like a piece of old junk that I would put on the bonfire,
where did this fashion for worn out things come from , I just don,t get it at all

neither do i, i have watched the programme a couple of times and the way the items are 'restored' makes me wonder who the hell buys such junk.
Not just furniture, perfectly good pair of jeans but rip holes in them and apparently they look better.
Distressing old pieces for the shabby look isn't at all new , the only cost effective way is to do it yourself.

Some people have spare cash and how they spend it is up to them.

I've done a few pieces but just for myself.
Interesting point about the jeans too, I was suddenly fashionable simply by wearing the knees of my jeans out by constantly being on the floor when my Daughters were small.
that coffee table was pants..cost £500 to make !!!
Didn't think much of the coffee table or the bags but loved the cheese boards.
cheese board nice agree !
she has renovated endless items, some so bad they weren't worth throwing in the skip
I do wonder if the donors are genuine. If so then some should be ashamed of themselves what they throw out.

Ok, some is junk but the other day there was a lovely old dolls house with furniture. Why take that to the dump? Why not take it to the Charity Shop? The charity could gain and some little would have loved it.
because it was in a terrible state, having been a mouse home for an age.
Well Sarah only gave it a clean and it was good to go.

I saw 2 girls with those jeans last week the denim was brand new and they had a huge hole on both knees , do they buy them like that or cut them up afterwards,
I only wear jeans for gardening but when I tore mine on the side of the leg I put them in the rag collection bag, I was too ashamed to be seen out on the path in them even if I had mended them
I have never liked anything that they made on that show and cannot believe the prices things are sold for. Having said that, I do like the shabby look if its done sympathetically.
These are on sale for 30 euros, if you want them!

Oh no! We've got Jay Blades presenting now. I had hoped we had seen the last of him.
