On another Web Forum I go to,the following options are available:~

1.You can block a person from seeing any of your questions ,and therefore answering them.(other members can see and answer in the usual way)

2.When you answer a question, you can block a particular person(as above), so that you cannot see their answers to this question.

These 2 options are used together.

I realise that the above may not be necessary(or wanted) here ,but I thought I would just let you know what happens on other forums, to prevent trouble/problems

Sounds ridiculous.

That sounds more like a private messaging service than a forum.
A 'forum' is intended to be open to all members or there is no point in it. What is the name of this 'forum'?

My apologies,it was just an idea.I didn't realise it would stir up trouble.

Interesting thoughts OldBather but as stated above, not sure they'd work here.

Wacker, if stuck just check your profile.
What forum is this OB ?

Let's just drop the idea OK.
BTW I don't see what forum that it is that matters?
OB. OK, I just thought I'd have a look at a different forum
The forum may well be unknown to others who might be interested in joining, hence the question.
I *think* it was tried on here...briefly...back in the very bad old days of AB. It didn't work. While there are squabbles on here,it's usually quite tame.
Tame pasta? , not in news topic gets quite nasty at times :-(
It's been worse, don't want it to go back either.
Yes Anne...tame
Compared to what it was years ago.
