I believe they were assisted by the UK & US the last time they retook the city. That won't happen again.

The words 'frying pan' and 'fire' spring to mind. Still, as long as the buildings are ok ...

They could have held onto it first time, but took the risk of moving out most of the troops to fight elsewhere. There will never be a repeat performance thankfully.
