I like it but I use a fake name and have my privacy settings very high. All my family do the same so it really is a private website for my family some of whom live abroad.
Some of my family members have other facebook accounts in their real names as well but don't link the two.

It's not the demonic force some would have you believe, neither is it all fluffy-wuffy goodness and unicorns and rainbows.

It's a powerful tool - like all power tools it can hurt you if you use it carelessly - but it can also be of great benefit too.

Be careful, understand how it works and you''l be fine.

Depends what you use it for I guess, I only have family and friends on there and two very trusted AB-ers whom I've known on this site for many years but never have met. Overall I think FB is handy for a number of reasons... Keeps me updated on upcoming events of my interests of which I may have missed... keeping in contact with distant friends and more recently a Birthday reminder of a good friend from our youth aged 10-20, we grew up together (Well one of us did) She's happily married with children now.

An old friend messaged me the other day saying he'll be in town in April and did I want to meet up. So it's a date :-)

I love it. I keep in touch with friends from 50 years ago. Most of my friends are 'of a certain age' so I suppose that is why I don't get any nasties.
