10 across - Boast about a lot of stuff (4) ?R?W The answer seems to be 'crow' but I can't follow the apparent explanation given in another post on this site, referring to 'crow (d)'. Obviously crow=boast, but I don't get crowd and 'a lot of stuff'. Can anyone be more explicit, please?

Thank you, both. I tend to go along with Murdo (but the 'circa' reference seems superfluous) but I'm not too happy about crowd=stuff and don't really reckon much to the clue. But thanks again.
I saw it in a similar way to Murdo.

Boast about - Crow
[a lot of 'stuff'] ie a lot of the word Crowd.

Crowd

Verb

To press, cram, or force tightly together: crowded the clothes into the closet.
