I logged into my local library website today to check my book expiry dates and the bustards have only done an "answer bank" and changed the entire user interface. And from the style it looks as though they used the same web designer as Ab.

It worked, so why fix it ?

My bank had a little change yesterday..

I'm of the impression that things are broken. Just because the site works well for one person it might not be the same for everyone.
a lot of sites have to change, the original websites were set up for desktops but more and more people use tablets or phones now and the sites need to be changed to be optimised for all platforms. So it might not be broken as such but need to be updated.
Do they no longer stamp the 'Return By' date on a sticky in the fly leaf?
I really do sympathise Canary, my local library or whatever it calls itself these days, have done a complete overhaul of the online catalogue and it's a complete mess or it is right now, until I somehow figure it out, but if I can work out AB, hopefully, then I can unlock the mysteries of my local discovery centre, ha!...woodelf sent this if it gets through so keep at it Canary.

Jackdaw, I'm not sure if taht's tongue-in-cheek or that you haven't used a library lately.

In case of the latter, in most libraries nowadays "they" don't do anything regarding issue/return of books - it's all do-it-yourself on an electronic machine.
Nothing to do with us!
No, it wasn't tongue-in-cheek. I haven't borrowed a book for over five years but it was always stamped with the return date.
