Naomi.. you might be having problems with your browser caching since the update. i.e Internet explorer is still showing you the version of the site before the update. Please try pressing CTRL+F5 together on your keyboard to clear the cache, and try again? I had the same issue on my PC with Internet Explorer 11, but it was resolved after the cache clearing.

Odd. Testing on 45.0.1 and ti seems fine.

Which version are you on?

I know we've been over this, but you have cleared your cache etc?

Because you're always allowed your own avatar in the ask box, as no one else can see it.

Why is the box at the bottom to have an e-mail sent to you when you get an answer to a Q, does it work for some, not that I would want it?

Ed - browsers are all up-to-date & I cleared all caches before using each in turn - still the default avatar in the answer box though.

As I said, it's not bothering me greatly but if it *should* be there I guessed you'd rather know than not.

Ed. As I hope, a temporary measure, I've painted a [Zen] circle in transparent cadmium yellow to act as a new avatar so that I can type over it and see what I am doing. Can you please remove the jelly man and see how I get on like this for now.

Ed. I think i've done it !!!!! I went to something called 'refresh firefox'
which too a few minutes and the avatar is behaving normally.
Drinks all round!
