Our house near the Spanish Border had some climbing plant up this steep bit of land and on this was some plant like IVY but with flowers which seem to be all year round. Anyway there were always bees buzzing about them up until a month ago. Do they hibernate or what ever? They are only small bees if that makes any difference. I miss having them buzzing about everywhere and I hope nothing has happened to them :(

They have this annoying tendency to die during the winter. They are not a long-lived species.

really? So they will be back right? Its normal? With all the news of bees dying I worry lol.
Is it cold where you are, as obviously they do disappear when the weather goes cold ?
Yes Uk, type of bee do make a difference.
Can you determine whether they are bumble bees or honey bees. In short: the 1st ones hibernate and the 2nd one don't.
