And now I see a toaster and egg maker....so confused lol :-)

I wanted to buy her a photography session so she could get a nice pic of them all together before moving. OH said no though because he doesn't want to pose for pictures.
ummmm I got studio pics of mum..do it !!!!
Question Author
I think I might.

She's brought the grand kids up so she's going to really miss them day to day. The youngest (twins) will be 21 this year. She's had them since before they started school.

They are great parents.
oh will suck it up.....I hate having photos took but am so pleased I did.a thing to treasure and a lovely gift !
Save yourself a fortune and make much better coffee in to the bargain :::

https://www.whittard.co.uk/coffee/all-coffees/coffee_equipment/aeropress-coffee-maker.htm?productid=18279&gclid=CPSv4tuOwtECFUI6GwodHEAJcQ

I have had one of these for two years and I challenge anyone to make better coffee, more easily. It also makes coffee considerably cheaper than those "pod" machines.
Question Author
Mikey - It's a present.

I might buy something like that for myself though.
Coffee is something I can take or leave. I used to drink perhaps one or two cups a week. However, since I discovered Nescafé Azero Intenso I am hooked. Pricey, but it tastes just as good, if not better, than anything a machine can make.
Question Author
I love that coffee, Jack.
Wrap it up in very expensive paper then, with huge bow !

Seriously, I have recommended the Aeropress to load of people and nobody has been disappointed yet.

Whatever you do, don't buy any machine that uses those "pods" You will be making people pay way over the odds for indifferent coffee for the rest of their lives.

Buy them an espresso maker ....lots in Tesco, for instance, for a lot less than £200 !

Question Author
I haven't paid for anything yet.

As we and the kids won't be in the same country I want something she'll find easy to use. Like I said she's not a coffee connoisseur.
Then a simple espresso machine would do the job Ummm.....you can get coffee machines anywhere in the world !
//Whatever you do, don't buy any machine that uses those "pods" You will be making people pay way over the odds for indifferent coffee for the rest of their lives.//

The coffee is not indifferent it is very nice and has different strengths to suit everyone - stop being a snob it doesn't suit your labour roots!!
Question Author
I suppose it could be a girl thing but I want something that will also look nice in their kitchen.
My daughter has a Dolce Gusto which produces reasonably good coffee but I always wonder what happens when they stop making the pods and then you're stuck with a machine you can't use.
Zebo.....my point exactly.
To put your mind at rest Ummm you can also buy from amazon reusable empty pods that she can fill with filter coffee of her choice
Question Author
Cheers, Islay.

I don't actually mind spending a life time buying the pods.

She's not a massive coffee drinker but when she does have a nice cup you can visibly see the look of bliss on her face.
I have a Nespresso and you can buy pods in almost any supermarket that are compatible. I recommend them. Mine is bright yellow.
I bought a Tassimo for OH for Christmas. He loves it. He's drinking far more coffee than he used to.
We have one in our kitchen ( coffee machine ) gets used about as often as the George Foreman fat reducing grill.
