Just been in my local bank. Wanted £100 cash from counter, £80 in notes & a bag of £1 coins. They didn't have coins so I walked out & phoned complaints dept when I got home. The answer I got was they don't stock any coins!? I said but you are a bank for gods sake & where else can I get them from & they said have I tried the BOOKIES!!!!!!

They obviously don't deal with businesses who require coins for customers' change.
When we go to car boot sales selling, I always go into our bank Lloyds and get £20 worth of £1 coins, and £10 worth of 50p's .I've never had any problems.

but first of all find one !

I deal with RBS - not voted the worlds worst altho there are times when I thik it is. I have of course written and told them and do they give a staff ?

I have only just chenged to them 2 months ago, I was with Nat West but sick of queuing but did get change there with no problems!

Thats not true I'm not a business customer and in the summer go in regularly and get coins. I have more trouble trying to give them coins back. They have to be in correct bags all counted out etc or they will not accept them.
my pal has a hadicapped son cannot read or write
he used to get benifits
now he tells me he does not get benifits
because he has 2 much in his bank
the question is
is his son entitiled to benifits

Henry some benefits are means tested and it depends on savings etc - read through this or get your friend to contact an advisor.

henry this is a common question / complaint
with some benefits - if you have too much in the bank you are told to live off them until they are reduced to the level that they WILL give benefit

DLA / PIP which is kinda common for handicapped people is NOT means tested.

if they are holding money FOR the handicapped child - that is it is HIS money but it is in the parents account then the position is different
