Is it me or is everyone "tired"?

Almost everyone I speak to whether it be family, work, friends - all have a story about how tired they are at the moment. It creeps in to almost every conversation I have.

Is this just my observation, or have we become a nation of people who feel "tired"?

I am guilty. We have a 5 month old who is the most rewarding little thing in the world, but keeps us awake most nights. So during normal conversation, I find myself needing to slip in the fact that I am exhausted.

It would be refreshing for somebody to say "I am full of energy, never slept so well - feel great!"

I've noticed this more and more, jd........I think the weather we've had for the last few years.......grey and dull.....makes us what I call indoor tired....not enough getting out in the sunshine......not many crisp, sunny winter days to walk away the blues...... The young folk I know seem to be working harder and longer.....then time off to relax becomes...

Too tired to answer - sorry....
I think it s just the way it is at this time of the year. For me, work has been very busy and stressful over the past 3 months, then organising Christmas drained the last bit of energy.

I share a bed with someone who fidgets so I'm often tired.
Man,,,,I'm so chuffed, full of vigour, raring to go, can't hold me back, bring it on mate!!!!!

Feel refreshed now?
Seasonal Affective Disorder?
That's sad Danny ;-/
a midwinter thing? How is everyone in midsummer, with 16 hours of daylight?
I find if I have too much sleep I'm much more lethargic..

The young folk I know seem to be working harder and longer.....then time off to relax becomes zonking....I'm so tired.....time....

The most energetic, feeling great group I know are my retired friends....... we have no pressure.....no alarm clocks or young babies.......but lots to fit in while we still can.......☺
As I get older I unintentionally sleep less and nowhere near as much as a lifetime has taught me I need to be fully alert all day. I assume I'm not the only one so affected. Nature's way of ensuring the older folk are more vulnerable to predators I guess.
agree with Gness, over Christmas we had our full time working son and daughter-in-law plus their small kids here and the parents were absolutely shattered. We however were full of energy and they were more than happy for us to just take the kids over while they zonked out on the sofa.
short day light hours is one cause of tiredness
( reading one of 3T's Brexit specials are others .. )
I don't get enough sleep so I am permanently tired!!!
There's also quite an epidemic of Vitamin D deficiency these days - I was diagnosed late last year and put on a high dose to bring up my levels, then a single dose per day.

I have felt a difference.

Retired 2½ years ago at 63, have an involving lifestyle which is in itself interesting, don't have a lot of time for folks who have no motivation, you get one go at it, so go for it.
;o)
Thank you, Jd.......with a five month old you have so much fun and joy ahead of you you'll soon forget the sleepless nights......
And one day you'll be like me, old enough to sleep well, feel great, have lots of energy and only have yourself to spend that energy on!....Bliss........xx
