gina, Your question can't be answered with any degree of certainty, as systems vary in size. Things to take into consideration are system design, boiler size, radiator sizes, pipe sizes, also, whether the pump is performing as it should. Generally though, if everything is O.K., your radiators should start to warm a couple of minutes after the boiler has fired.

Hope this helps.

Thanks pilotlight one more thing so it doesn't matter even if my radiators are only on number 3 should it not effect how long it takes for the heat to come through sorry to sound thick:/

my boiler is a worcester bosch 28i can run up to 15 radiators.....going to test my system today sometime just need this input to what is the norm.many thanks pilotlight. i'm sure it will be fine.

gina......if the temperature in the room is higher than the setting on your thermostic valve then that radiator will not heat up at all. That's the whole idea of pre-setting your comfort level.....you may need to turn the valve up to [say 4] and as pilotlight says the heat should come through in a couple of minutes.
