just looked at the "hope not hate" site they'd do well to heed their own message, I reckon if Mr Cox is a member of this then he does have links to extremists not least of which is the daddy of them all, Islam. The site is a left wing love in fest of anti western, anti British claptrap. Can't see Mr Cox getting very far in court. Didn't see an ad for your Tibetan tea shop gromit!

Hope not Hate are cadging for money to sue Farage, so there is a good chance that Farage will be sued.

Farage's defence might be to copy the famous respose in the case of Arkell v Pressdram.

Gromit, //I said he mocked Jo Cox' widow, you know, her husband. //

A man who has lost his wife is generally known as a widower - not a widow.
Dave at 21:31, oh dear.....
Hi Grom-grom
a vein of light hearted humour in what can only be described as a river of tripe about the Berlin attacks.

Can tripe flow ? yes certainly in the threads of AB

I hadnt realised Pressdram had got involved with Arkell

PE also tried a defence to one libel - this man ( plaintiff ) has no reputation to speak of and therefore we cant have debased it ....
It didnt work ....
I ask again, WHO IS THIS Ms Cox ?

No one heard of her till she got shot, before she was a no one, who was only known to those around her.

I'm getting fed up with reading about this 'has been'.
1rovert...your ignorance knows no bounds.....Jo Cox is a has-been ?

Shame on you.
Farage is not going to be liable for this.

His exact words:

"Mr Cox would know more about extremism than me - he supports organisations like Hope Not Hate, who masquerade as being lovely and peaceful but actually pursue violent and anti-democratic means."

Even if Farage is wrong about Hope Not Hate - this is not slander or libel. Brendan Cox does support Hope Not Hate, that's true, and the rest is Farage's opinion. There is no slander here.

Personally I have no interest in whether Farage is right or not about HNH. They are quite an irrelevant organisation.
I would have thought that was quite a serious accusation against HNH: one which if taken seriously would draw them to the attention of the police and call into question their work to combat extremism.
Isn't all slander "opinion"? If it was fact it would not be questioned.
He doesn't even say "in my opinion": he states it as if true.
Yeah but bear in mind all he has to do to justify what he said is find someone, anywhere, at any time who has had anything to do with HNH who has done something violent of any description, and he can say he was basing it on that.

If he was accusing HNH of something more outlandish (like running a secret pedo ring a la Pizzagate) then he would be in more trouble. But Farage is a snake and knows what he is doing.
The truth about Farage is that he is yesterdays man, and he is not used to that. Whatever he set out to achieve, he has done and now finds himself with nothing to do. He will do anything to keep his name in the spotlight.

The media should get over their obsession with him, and stop running to him for quotes.

As K has said, he knows exactly what he is doing and in this subject, he has sunk as low as he can get. Nasty man.
Knowing what you are doing is all the more reason to challenge him
Mud can stick and it is right that he should be challenged.

He didn't instigate this.
Talbot...to attack the husband of a recently murdered MP, live on LBC, was the work of an idiot, and Farage is experienced enough as a politician and should have been aware of that.
Mikey, but he was right. Doesn't that count for anything in your book?

Perhaps you would be wise to take that advice on board yourself?
