Remember when you would go and check the singles/ album charts? Just been watching the Chase. Bradley Walsh has put an album out, I thought no no no .. it's at number 10! http://www.officialcharts.com/charts/albums-chart-update/

He actually sounds pretty good. Prime time TV adverts have helped- albums like this tend to do well for 2 or 3 weeks and then disappear from the charts.
I used to follow the album charts in the 70s/80s but have lost touch. However I still follow the singles chart- have done for nearly 50 years now. I can identify most current top 40 singles but it takes me maybe 10-20 seconds (and a few years later I'll have forgotten them) whereas I can still recognise most /70s/80s hits within 3 seconds

Alexander Armstrong from Pointless also has an album out, but Bradley's is superior. The problem with covers albums is that I would far sooner listen to the originals, unless the artist has a new take, which Walsh and Armstrong, do not.

He was on the Steve Wright show recently and said he'd asked Alexander Armstrong's advice before deciding to do the album. Of course, 'Sandy' has already done a couple of albums, himself,

They dont have to sell many records these days to get in the Top 40.

I remember when I was a kid, I used to listen to the Top20 on a Sunday night, writing them all down, think it was Radio Luxembourg.

I think Walsh & Armstrong should stick to what they are good at on TV, greedy ***..
