Seeing the doors opening at some of the big stores and the customers rush in. I can see why they call it black friday.
Maybe black and blue after all the pushing ,jostling ,biting ,kicking scratching ,thumping ,stamping ,throttling and that only getting on the bus to go to town

Not ALL uses of the word 'black' are viewed as having racist under/over-tones and it's mischief-making to point out that they are.
According to Defoe, Friday was indeed black.
