I was told by someone that if you go just before closing that many goods are reduced. Is this true and does this include meats?

Asda's Mark downs are bad, you may as well pay full price. I find Tesco is good for reduced food, no matter what time of day, you're guaranteed a bargain.

Shush, don't tell everyone, they'll all be at it!
It's also worth considering the freshness of products before buying the discounted stuff. I know that it's on shelves labelled 'Still Fresh' but there have been times when I would disagree with that description.

In particular, I'll never buy 'still fresh' fish from Asda as, on several occasions (from different Asda stores), I've opened the packets to be overwhelmed by a stench which has even sent the cats running away from it! I've also seen meat which has totally turned green offered by Asda on the discount chiller.
Just got Christmas dinner, a whole extra large chicken with pork and sage stuffing for 25p. Morrisons price reductions. It is fresh with a use by date 12/11/2016, gone in the freezer for Christmas !
Yes, good old Morries. Well-done EDDIE. Rather like I always used to go down to the market at close of play and get loads of veg and fruit for practically zilch. Some stuff (e.g. strawberries) they were practically throwing at me to take it away. Still goes on (for info. for those hitting hard times again, I know what to do if this happens again to me).
