Just been to get some fresh carrots out of the bottom shelf of my larder fridge, and they had frozen! the setting was no 5. Had noticed that the temperature around the fridge had been very warm the last few days, but there again, everywhere has been very warm. Has my fridge given up the ghost? It's only about 5 years old. Any advice welcome. Judy

Its probably to do with a (failing) door seal. In warmer weather, more warm air than usual is seeping in so the cooling bit at the back is having to work harder to keep the overall temperature down to that desired by the thermostat. Because cold air sinks, the bottom part is getting excessively cold.

Turn the setting down to 3 or 4 you have it too high.

The extra warmth could be from the fridge compressor working overtime!

Thanks very much, the bottom seal looks a bit dodgy, have turned the temperature to 3 and that seems to have done the trick.
