Have a flat to rent in Scotland for 3months. What legal hoops do i need to jump through to safeguard me as landlord? Tenant who wants it will pay all rent up front and a damage deposit & is waiting for new house to be habitable so not looking for 6mth short assured rental.

I would rent it as a 'holiday let' booking it week by week. Not worth setting up a tenancy agreement. Actually I think 6 months is the minimum possible term for a fixed tenancy.
I think you have to put his deposit in a government safe hold. Otherwise, he sounds new like an ideal tenant.
