my memories of the show might be a little skewed with time but I always thought Soo was a bit of a cow - just my perception maybe?

Fabulous!

I remember Soo as having a breathy voice and being somewhat neurotic - although I had to bolt on the last bit of my perception in adulthood!
Always had my suspicions about that long creature called, Ramsbottom !
Sad mentality.
Old_Geezer - //Always had my suspicions about that long creature called, Ramsbottom ! //

I adored Ramsbottom, with his wonderfully broad Yorkshire accent.

"I've told they before, I don't want feedin', and it's steak and kidney not snake and kidney, and I've had tripe and chips!
Heard they tried to stop Sooty waving his big wand and saying "Izzy wizzy, let's get busy!" Sweep was a Sooty mistake that's why he squeaks like that. Forgot he was male. Lol !
Crikey ...

I always thought that Sue was just a friend, who was a girl ...

... rather than Sooty's "girlfriend".

It never occurred to me that they were having it off.

Incidentally, in that first clip ... isn't Sue topless ???

The innocence of youth ...

I remember when they first put the original Andy Pandy episodes on video, and I saw one ... where on earth did those thick black strings come from???
JJ, please!! It's Soo.

Soo had quite a fetching wardrobe but wasn't afraid to go bear chested.
This was a special day and Ramsbottom looked wonderful in peach taffeta , sniff.

"Soo" ?

(Googles ...)

Golly, so it is! I never knew that.

I think "Soo" sounds slightly native American. Like Sioux.
The same insinuations were made about Andy Pandy and Looby Loo in that basket I seem to remember...
Siouxty and Sioux it is then.
Sex in the basket?

That was back in the ... 70s?

Around the time that Chicken in the basket was also popular.
Andy Pandy began 1950.
