Squeeky Flap In Freezer

Hi all

I've got a squeeky plastic flap in the upper storage compartment of my upright freezer. The noise is really getting on my nerves when I lift the flap. Can anyone suggest a suitable grease or lubricant that I can use in this position bearing in mind the sub-zero temperature involved? The flap is just hung from the two sides.

I don't want to use ordinary oil due to food being in the freezer and I'm not certain about vaseline etc. I don't know if silicone spray could be used either.

Thanks

Marg? The problem you might have is that anything you use could freeze.
whatever lubricant you decide to use - I think Vaseline or WD40 (sprayed onto a brush then applied) - just put some in the freezer overnight and see what it looks like in the morning
There are silicon sprays labelled as 'food grade'. They will work in a freezer. Ideal for what you want.

Try rubbing the connecting parts with a candle.
