I'm sure there's quite some variation on here. Do you work, are you retired, have you got your life in balance. I'm interested, people log on at different times of the day/ night. How do your days pan out?

Tilly, amazing! I imagine you've had some lovely experiences. Thank goodness there are people who volunteer like you x
Been retired about 18 months now. At first it was hard, as I sat around eating and drinking. But now with a volunteer job, swimming and looking after my frail dad, most of my free time is mainly in the evenings. I don't live by the clock in fact I got rid of my alarm and rarely wear a watch. So life is more leisurely. If I do have spare time, it is taken up with baking and cooking which I love doing.

Elina, I like being part of a school community and I also like not being the one whose managing it, any longer. ;-)

One of the things I do, on a daily basis, is visit my dad in his care home. I go for about an hour and it keeps him happy.

When he's gone there will be a bit of a hole to fill. I am not looking forward to that.

Tilly, all the benefit and none of the stress, that's rewarding! It takes a lot to give of your time, hats off to you x

Tilly, life has some tough moments to go through x
Retired from main job 12 years ago and for the last 10 years been a school crossing warden---lollipop person, so I`m out twice a day. Enjoy seeing my little friends get bigger, have a chat with their parents and still get plenty of time to follow my hobbies and keep up with housework/family. It helps financially as well, What I don`t like is getting wet and having to go out early on cold, icy winter days.
Retired, but with 5 children and 12 Grandchildren I really wonder how I ever had time to work!
Question Author
Jazzy, that's a fab job! There's quite a relationship shared between children and their lollipop person. I remember well the school run, as you say, you see them grow over the years, lovely job :0)
