I have a Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet,is it possible to upgrade the Android OS to a later version?

According to wiki, it's upgradable from 3.1 Honeycomb, to 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich:

Android v 4.4 to 4.4.4 was 'KitKat',
v 5.0 to 5.1 was 'Lollipop',
the latest version, v 6.0 is 'Marshmallow'.

It will be interesting to see what sweet things the developers will come up with for 'Q' and 'Z'.
