More cowardly, gutless attacks on innocents by those who no doubt see themselves as idealists.
Not much else to say really.
again ..depressing and sad...
It's a military led country, peaceful protests or any subversion will be met with violence from the State. Hardly surprising people turn to this sort of thing.
Absolutely awful. I've been to Hua Hin and Phuket, both lovely places with equally lovely people.

Whatever one feels about the government, youngmafbog, I'm not sure I can see why people would turn to indiscriminate killings. Hopefully there are no Brits among the dead. I expect this story won't get much publicity as it doesn't seem to contain the elements of recent atrocities in Europe, Tunisia and Egypt

Possibly so - the Thai atrocities are being linked to domestic perpetrators, as opposed to the atrocities which are linked to ISIS, and seen as more relevant to UK news consumers because ISIS present a real connected threat to them.

Sadly, in a world of violence, the media must prioritise its coverage based on what its audience wish to read and hear about first.
Can't be that lacking in publicity. I was aware of it before seeing this thread.

Yes, I realise it's a long way off that there isn't the interest aroused by speculation about the killer's religion/status and state of mental health, but it is a resort where lots of Brits go on holiday and seemed to be aimed at tourists.

Indeed - I am sad to say you have a point there.
attacking the tourists is a good way of wrecking the local economy
look at Egypt

Why does the link take me to a story about a drone and ISIS?
-- answer removed --
Because Sky News has updated its headlines JD - there is still a link on the Thai Bombings.
