The Queen famously doesnt carry cash. On a hot day, out and about on Royal duties, what happens if she fancies an ice pop or can of Lemon Fanta?
I know she doesnt poo and wee like us but she must have other basic human needs like lollies and pop. Do newsagents and garages let her off the 45p because she is the Queen? It is easy to know its really her and not an imposter because her boat race is on all the notes.
Does Richard Branson have the same problem i wonder?

i am pretty sure that a passer by would have a camera, she could stand sideways and the photo would be legal tender!!.......this way she could dictate the value of the photo and she would then be entitled to some change perhaps??
I guess the Lord High Keeper of the Privy Purse carries a few pence for her... well, for the loos, anyway. (She does need them; the new factories that she opens sometimes build one specially for her.)

If I where a shop keeper I wouldn't give it to her or Branson free. It could be an impersonator trying to blag freebies. She and he can pay like the rest of us..........or steal it!!!

If this is a serious question (?) the Queen doesn't carry cash on formal occasions - anything that requires payment is dealt with by one of her ladies-in-waiting, to prevent any coins of notes the Queen carries becoming souvenirs.

When at Balmoral, the Queen often pops to the local shops where she is treated like any other resident, and she pays with cash, as usual.

It's the same as when she needs a wee or a poo, the lady-in-waiting takes care of business for her.

andy i'm dissapointed in you!

Despite my attempts at childish humour you still manage to give a sensible and , as it is, a fascinating answer.

Does she really shop in Balmoral?
If so my mental image of Liz popping out for a Strawberry Mivvi and a Cornetto for Phil has been confirmed!
phils a tangle twister man if he cant have a 99 with a flake in.

On the wee and poo......

My dad used to be high up in a university and on two occasions the queen had made a visit.

There was a special room with a toilet constructed specially for her both times!!!

The Queen DOES carry cash - at a recent Church ceremony (may have been her birthday), she was shown opening her bag, taking out a note and paying into the collection!
Chazza, she carries an undisclosed amount for Church but that is all (apparently)
sorry gb ..... lol!
The queen does not poo or we like us and neither does she require basic provisions like the rest of us. She is a remote controlled robot and her only requirement is a service once a year and bit of Castrol GTX once in a while. On the odd occasion she is out and about and the Duracells pack up, she is manhandled into the back of a remote controlled daimler and whisked off to Woolworths for a battery change. The battery supply agreement with woolies has been in place now for some years and it is unlikely to be revoked as they have done so well at keeping this potentially disastrous exclusive story quiet. A few years back the ""establishment"" tried to fit rechargables, but woolies got wind of this and threatened to go to Joe Public.

Richard Branson doesn't have the same problem as he is made of straw and sits in fields.

andy - please take note of the answer Octavius gave and remind yourself of it whenever answering a question posted by me!

Wilsonator

That must have been one hell of a wee or poo on the first visit that they had to build the toilet twice.
