Fencing

I just happened to catch some fencing today and did not enjoy it at all. It all seemed a bit disjointed and not at all good to watch. Maybe I expected it to be a bit more elegant for want of a better word.

I watched it, too, and enjoyed it. I don't quite understand all the rules, but it was fun to watch. My son used to do it, but I never saw him fight. He wasn't really good enough to go to competitions.

I think everything is so technical now , seems to take the fun out of things.

I couldn't follow it all all. Every time I though the GB guy had won a point it went to the opponent.

The advent of pre-mixed Postcrete and flimsy panels has taken a lot of the skill out of it IMO.

Filing the tips would make it more interesting.
