Please tell me that this show is a wind up?? Why would these grooms do the exact opposite of everything their gf would want? I mean they must have discussed weddings before! Ive never watched it till tonight and found it bizarre!

I assumed not, not that I've watched it more than once. Why would a guy want to discuss weddings at all ? Normally they just turn up and put up with whatever the bride has insisted on.
They just want to be on telly. If they went along with what the fiancée wanted there wouldn't be much of a show.
Well of course it's scripted .

Afterall , they have to entice people to watch
Good point O_G. My son is getting married next year and he's just leaving it to her. He'll just show up on the appointed day. :)

It was so silly!!!
Augmented reality is, I believe, the name for this cheap garbage.
They must get encouraged by the producers to make it as controversial as possible, all to aid viewing figures. If it were to be straight forward wedding planning it would be such a bore and of course, would put off viewers!
And they get a free wedding.

They could always save up and pay for a blessing after the event.
Sometimes you read the format of a show - that 'holiday exchange' nonsense is another one, and think - why on earth would I want to watch that? And then you plan to do something else.
My OH loves Don't Tell The Bride....
I love this programme, but can't watch it now cos it's switched to Sky - grrrr !!
Jambutty, get yourself one of these, https://www.pikaflik.co.uk/collections/plex-products/products/satplex-in-a-box-for-12-months?variant=6148677252 its brilliant, you can watch all of Sky and BT progs, plus loads of films, all sport channels etc etc, there is no fee to pay, only the initial cost of the small box, it is so easy to set up, plug in and go! I've got one and its fantastic, being a footie fan I cant wait to watch the Premiership.
Thanks for the tip saint x
