In this recipe for Jamie's pickled cucumbers surely there isn't enough vinegar used?
I would have thought that the vinegar needs to completely cover the cucumbers but there is no way 150mls is enough to do it?

According to your link,the recipe is from Jamie Magazine,and is not by him.
So...the fault may be with the author...OR...with the editor. Contact the site and let them know.

I've just checked in his Naked Chef book where he has a recipe for pickled chillies - not the same but similar and all packed in a jar – and he uses a litre of vinegar to 600g of chillies

Most TV chefs websites have readers contributions. I've seen them on Nigellas also. You just need to be aware that not every recipe is from Jamie, etc.
