Does anyone else agree with me in thinking that it is exceedingly antisocial to mow the grass and then spend ages strimming the garden on a sunny Sunday lunchtime which is precisely what my neighbour did today?

One of my neighbours is very into power washing. He finds something to power wash every weekend, on a Sunday. His flagstones, fence panels, car, walls, garage floor, conservatory glass, window sills, pond boulders, steps, all get the power wash treatment on a regular basis. Very noisy. But, he is a nice man and would help anyone, very friendly and quiet (apart from his power washer) so nobody complains. I think if people are doing something that they know is upsetting to others, they should be told about it. But we need to weigh up the effect on the relationship - I would rather listen to the power hose for an hour on a Sunday than develop a bad relationship. Mowers, strimmers don't bother me. A neighbour recently cut down a couple of trees with a power saw - now that was noisy, but only lasted a short time. Life has to be lived. We all make noise of some sort, and sometimes we don't realise the effect it has on our neighbour. Living together in close proximity is difficult.
Submit a timetable to your neighbours, I'm sure they will happily comply ;-/
before we moved we had a neighbour who was into motorbikes and those sea bike things he would rev up constantly all weekend ,now that was noisy .
I cut my lawn and strimmed yesterday at midday My neighbours are fine with it.

That what people do!
I do mine every sunday, are you my neighbour by any chance?
