Sold an eight week, vaccinated, microchipped lab puppy four weeks ago. Collected it yesterday as they didn't want anymore said it was unruly etc. Got him home, good as gold, no issues as yet, think just bored really and it was more husband didn't want etc. Do I give all the money back or what. No prob if I have to less any advertising expenses . Just people's thoughts really, thanks

Unsure what to suggest but isn't the amount of any possible refund decided before you take back ownership ?
Do you know what the actual expense to you was over the two activities, selling and collecting ?
Unfortunate, but you got the puppy back and the welfare of the puppy matters most. I'd swallow it and just find it a home more suited. Presumably they gave you a deposit, and I think it is fair to keep that for your trouble, but give the balance.
When you collected the pup, did they ask for the money back?
Did you have a sales contract? What did it say about refunds? The thing about not making any kind of refund is that they may still have a claim on the pup and I am sure you don’t want that!
Surely as a responsible breeder you checked them out thoroughly before selling the pup so you could easily say they misrepresented themselves in order to convince you to sell. Agree with the other posts in as much as the pup's welfare is the issue so sit tight and wait and see if they contact you for a refund.
It annoys me that people who ask for advice on here, receive it but don't come back and say a quick thanks, like this one.
trt...couldn't agree more. Quick thanks or even a bit of feedback would be welcome. Still, that's life!
You have the dog back to resale and, while its an inconvenience, if you try and withhold part of the refund it will just roll on forever.
Most breeders I know would agree to refund just to get the puppy back from an unsuitable home. You could if you wished agree to refunding all or part of the price once the pup has been sold to someone else.
