I love salads in the summer but it has to have some type of onion in it to make it taste better, but I know my breath must smell and the aftertaste lasts forever.
Is there anyway to get rid of the taste and smell?

Have you tried a gentler onion, one not so strong perhaps?

My solution is a chilled glass of delicious Italian Limencello.

In most 'Health Food' stores, here in the U.S. one can buy lozenges containing zinc... Mayo Clinic did a recent study of zinc's effect on halitosis in various forms and found zinc to be fairly effective. Zinc is inexpensive and comes in various concoctions...
Never eat onions or garlic...
Never bothered me. But I reckon eating a bulb of garlic should take the onion taste & smell away. Good for doing the same for vampires too.
