I want to buy plenty of cheap cigarettes in Poland the problem is that customs only allowed 200cigs per person from Poland

At the German border will they search every car or is it just like random - say 1 in ten or one in a hundred?

I'm not even sure there is any border control passing from poland to germany (EU free movement of people and all that)?

You also have the problem of getting them back into the UK, so you will have two borders to cross with your contraband. If UK customs do search you they will be able to tell they weren't bought duty paid in the right bit of the EU.

Haven't crossed the Polish/German border for a while, but they used to be particularly keen on searching German registered cars that looked as though they'd popped across for some cheap shopping
