I have always used this together with Mse but I must have signed up for the trial of the paid version. This has now come to an end so will I be automatically put back to the free version or do I have to download it again, or is there something better I should have please?

I think it will revert to the free version. Easy enough to un-install the full version and then download and install the free version after a re-boot of your pc.

So far I'd stay with Malwarebytes free, found nothing so far to compete with it unless you want to pay.
If you try to remove malwarebytes it will offer to transfer you to the free version. That seems to be the simplest way of doing it.

Thank you both for replying. I will do as you both suggest. I have been with the free version for years and seems to be o.k. so far (Hope they are not 'famous last words' :0)
I did the same thing. The free trial ended this week and it automatically reverted to the free version. I didn't have to do anything.

Thank you Anagram, yes you're right, when I went back on it had reverted to the free version, much quicker too, 26mins for full scan!
The good news is that they may put you on the trial version again without your having to do anything.
I had the trial of the paid for version but it was no better than the free version which I still have. Why pay for what you can get free?
