Not sure what to put this under, but my OH has got steam iron residue (the bit you get on the iron when you put it on nylon too hot!) on his white polo shirt!
any ideas on how to get rid of it please?

Thanks!

Probably cheaper to get a new shirt.
tell him to fall off his gee-gee early in the chukka
and then the grass stains will cover it up ...

oh and can you tell me what the proper name for a polo field is ?
Its maidan - innit - arabic root means "town" - or town square which is where they used to play it with a goats head
Have you tried cleaning the sole plate with a scotch brite when its cold?
Won't be easy if it's hard and plasticky - I'd try to pick it off, maybe with tweezers. Re -ironing with a very wet cloth might soften it up first. Nail varnish remover is often a good solvent too.
A razor?

It's his bowls shirt! Too old to get on a horse! He has picked some of it off, but will probably have to get a new one.
