For the last week or so i've been getting up to 15 calls a day to my mobile from what looks to be a freephone number. If I answer there is nobody there and it hangs up after a few seconds. I tried to ring it back but it said to knock off the first zero. I tried this from my office phone and it said someone from "n-pal" was trying to reach you. I am convinced it is a scam and that I'm dialing a premium rate number. The number is

0800 1973936

I think this is too long to be a freephone number anyway. Has anybody else had a similar experience, if so what did you do to stop it? Thanks

Hi...i've had the same sort of problems. I contacted BT who gave me this number: 0800 398893 they can remove your phone/mobile number from any sales call list etc... or you can visit their site:

If you want to check for yourself you can ring BT anytime.

We registered with the above link ages ago and still get these phonecalls - only from 0800 numbers though
