Yes, where as most people like to rate themselves as "thick-skinned" and that this is the accepted "norm", depressives are already in pain and thus hypersensitive to criticism.
If someone hurts you, the natural tendency is to pay back in kind. Depressed people will overshoot, in an attempt to inflict equivalent pain back on you. This makes people push them away, increasing their misery further. It's a vicious circle for them.

OP, No disagree... I take it is as is... I feel no need to whinge about fellow abers or the moderators. After all it is the chat, and answers ready to pounce that keep the site going.
As for SirA, I was held in good stead with her (Like most of you, mostly polite and cheeky when permitted) I did however chat late night and knew she was down... so was more sympathetic to a fellow ABer. Also her post comments on her short return... maybe retribution to those that hurt her unintentionally or otherwise... she was liked by me 'All that enter here welcome to their opinion.'

My apologies for having allowed a few days to pass without thanking all who responded in this thread.
The truth is that I became hurt by a number of comments which were made and, as to be expected from an 84yr old member, I wondered if I had become senile and should refrain from posting into AB. My GP is of the opinion that I am still mentally alert and, although I have also been Stented, I could have a few more years to be a pain in the *** to folk. ☺☺☺
In the meanwhile , it might be sensible for me to have a rest for a few weeks from AB. The Technology section will understand if I say " I'm going on a ChuckFickens vacation."
