Installing Norton Virus Protection

I have just renewed mu subscription and installed the programme. Or so I thought.....
On my laptop I can switch back to Windows 7 as well as using Windows 8.1

When I looked at my account on Norton,the Windows 7 is ticked but tWindows 8.1 is not. Is my laptop safe ?

Did you install it twice - i.e. Boot under 7 and install, and boot under 8.1 and install? If not, it will be installed only on the OS that you were running when you installed it.
