Me again , for my Dad's funeral, we thought we'd print our own, having been given something we didn't want for my Mum. Looking for stiff-ish card/paper that I can use on home printer, both sided, semi glossy, any thoughts as to what I ask from stationers?

What you need is 'greeting card paper'. e.g: http://www.photopaperdirect.com/products/Inkjet-Photo-Paper/Glossy-Photo-Paper/A4-Inkjet-Greeting-Card-Glossy-Paper-Premium-Heavyweight-260g.html However you'll obviously be working to a tight timetable and there aren't many shops that stock it. When I did mine for my dad got some stationer paper at ratners A4 printed both sides then cut them to A5
Tell them what you want to do and what printer you have, and they will be able to advise you.
What you need is 'greeting card paper'.

However you'll obviously be working to a tight timetable and there aren't many shops that stock it. An alternative (that's easier to get hold of) is ordinary bright white card:

Another possibility is to use the method by which I produce Christmas cards, etc. That's to use ordinary (good quality) A4 photo paper for the front and back (of an A5) car, such as HP A4 Everyday Photo Paper (£14.00 for 100 sheets from Sainsbury's). Then to buy sheets of A5 stickers (available from most office stationers) for the inside. [You can't print directly onto the back of most photo papers, as there's usually a watermark present].

Thanks all, especially Buenchico/Chris. Paper is en route arriving Monday. Can't thank the army of helpful people on here enough.

A great help to great practical advice - especially when your head is elsewhere. It's been a tough start to 2016. First my Mum to Alzheimer's passed away, then my devoted Rottie; Jet, had to go to Rainbow Bridge, then Dad to hospital, followed by him passing on his 68th Wedding Anniversary - St Valentine's Day.

All bittersweet moments. Am looking forward to Spring. Once again Guys, thank you all. X's kc
sorry to hear of your Dad's death Kia

I used good quality writing paper ( 100g per sq m )
which is available at almost any stationers

I had a few examples left over from the thirties and forties
and they were all A5 standard jobbies
so I didnt go overboard on presentation

but thought more on what would go in it
